Chairman Wagoner is a former member of The Ohio Senate and The Ohio House of Representatives and is the current Executive Chairman of the Lucas County Republican Wagoner. Chairman Wagoner also serves as an elected member of the Ohio Republican Party State Central Committee. From 2007 to 2012, Chairman Wagoner served as the State Senator where his fellow Senators elected him Majority Whip. He served as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as Vice-Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, as a member of the Senate Rules and Reference Committee, as a member of the State of Ohio Controlling Board, as a Chairman of the Auto Industry Task Force, and as Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Video Lottery Terminals in Ohio. From 2005 to 2007, Chairman Wagoner served in The Ohio House of Representatives as a State Representative, where he was a member of the House Finance Committee, Public Utilities Committee, and Financial Institutions Committee. Mark also served as the Chairman of the Board of the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority, Ohio's 529 college savings plan with over $9 billion in assets. For his legislative work, Chairman Wagoner received numerous awards, including the Ohio Association of Justice "Legislator of the Year," the Council of State Government Toll Fellowship, the Ohio Nurses Association “Legislator of the Year,” the Ohio Convention and Visitors Bureau’s “Legislator of the Year,” the Vietnam Veterans of Ohio "Legislator of the Year," and the Lifeline of Ohio “Legacy Award” for his work on organ donation. Chairman Wagoner was a three-time winner of the Watchdog of the Treasury Award for being a fiscal conservative, carried an “A” rating from the NRA, had a 100% Pro-Life Voting record from Ohio Right to Life, and had a lifetime 100% conservative voting record from the American Conservative Union during his time in the Ohio Senate.
